About
I have been a massage therapist since 2004 and absolutely LOVE it!
In January of 2008, I took a job with United Airlines as
a flight attendant. The goal is
to travel around this crazy world, be able to see and do things that
I've always wanted to and also continue the work which is my passion.
Massage.
So, when I'm not flying, I'm doing bodywork!
My clients are always happy to see me and even happier when they leave. What more could a person possibly ask for? :)
I feel extremely blessed to have found the healing powers of massage.
Style
My approach to massage therapy is simple.
I help my clients to
relieve pain, tension & to obtain relaxation of the body &
mind. My style of bodywork mostly incorporates swedish, deep
tissue, accupressure and stretching. I call the type of massage I
do the Multi Modality Massage. (MMM) I feel it's the best way to achieve relief and
overall relaxation.
I work with my clients
to find what best fits their
needs for each session.
Below you will find more than a few massage techniques
in
which I am versed. Perhaps one of
these (or even a combination) would fit your needs.
-
Aromatherapy
An ancient healing art with 5000 year old roots in ancient
Egypt, it is the art and science of using pure essential oils for
various therapeutic purposes, primarily those related to smell.
Essential oils can heal emotional and physical imbalances
when applied so that one can inhale their aroma and absorb their
essence.
-
Deep Tissue
This term refers to various regimens or massage styles
that are directed toward the deeper
tissue structures of the muscles and fascia. In most deep massage
techniques the aim is to
affect the various layer of fascia that support muscle tissues and
loosen bonds between the layers of connective tissues.
-
Esalen / Swedish
Esalen is known for its blend of East/West philosophies.
It melds long, lengthening strokes
with gentle rocking and stretching, passive joint movement, sculpting
of deep musculature, delicate cranial balancing, subtle neural
re-education and the precision of chinese point work.
-
Reflexology
Originated with the Chinese and is based on the idea that
stimulation of particular
points on the surface of the body has an effect on other areas or
organs of the body.
This technique focuses mainly on the hands and feet.
